We’re Focused on What Matters Most Right Now in High Point
At the Junior League of High Point, we live in the moment. That means adjusting our focus according to our community’s most pressing needs. Our work is always evolving, which keeps us on our toes, striving for progress and preparing to take on whatever comes next.
Our current community goal of improving health outcomes and disparities can be achieved by forming community partnerships and expanding programming to address healthcare outcomes specifically. Programs such as Kids in the Kitchen and Crockpot Cooking help address health disparities by providing resources for healthy eating.
New programming includes partnerships with the High Point Farmer’s Market and initiatives to bring mammography services to neighborhoods with shorter life expectancies in High Point.
We aim to help High Point women develop civic leadership skills through their work and then put those talents to work in the communities that need it. Our current focus on improving health outcomes and disparities gives women opportunities to grow while positively impacting the communities where they live and work.
We’re Creating Fulfilling Leadership Opportunities Throughout High Point
The Junior League of High Point offers much more than local volunteering opportunities! Our League of Leaders creates real change by advancing social activism-focused projects that directly benefit the communities of High Point. By giving women the tools to lead, educating them about their communities’ needs, and helping them put their unique creativity and skill to work, JLHP is making a big impact in High Point.
We’re Transforming High Point By Challenging the Status Quo
No matter what we focus on, the Junior League of High Point’s work centers around improving our local communities through effective action and leadership. Through member conversations, surveys, and research we have identified improving health outcomes and disparities as the most pressing issue in our community right now, and we are helping local women take action to resolve it.
